Balboa Golf Course is one of the more challenging courses in the Village. If you like fast, well-maintained greens, then this is your golf course. It was in 1987, and remains today, one of the most popular and heavily played courses within Hot Springs Village. The fairways, which are wider and have less slope than some of our other courses, present the golfer with a great opportunity for par, even with a bad tee shot.

This is a walker-friendly course that gets better with each round played. Fairways, tees and roughs are Common and 419 Bermuda Grass and the greens are a blend of Penn Cross and Crenshaw Bent Grass.

According to the low handicap golfers in the Village, Balboa is a great test of golf and has some very tricky par 3's. Balboa is slated for renovation in late 2007.

Designed with wider fairways and generous driving areas, Isabella is a player friendly course, where tee times are a premium. Isabella has five sets of traditional square tee boxes, which aim the golfer to the appropriate landing area. This course has a great feel and is fun for the avid golfer as well as beginners.

The signature hole is No. 15. It doglegs left from the tee and is protected by a water feature on the left and a bunker on the right front of the green.

Fairways, tees, and roughs are 419 Bermuda and the greens are a blend of L93 and Crenshaw Bent Grass.

Isabella has opened a nine-hole expansion creating a 27-hole complex. This addition to the No. 1 golf course has only made it greater. The 27-holes is utilized in a variety of ways. The course will play as three 18-hole courses; the original 18-holes, the back nine/new nine and the new nine/front nine. The three courses are called the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria rotations.

Magellan began as a golf school with three holes, and in 1996, it was expanded to 18 and opened its sixth golf course.

Long on great golf holes, Magellan is one of the shorter courses, but don't let the length fool you. This course plays shorter, but its tricky greens will challenge all skill levels. It is a favorite for both men and women and is consistently one of the top three courses played. Magellan continues to boast the best practice facilities in the Village with a large driving range, a newly reconstructed putting green and several short game areas.

The fairways, tees, and roughs are Bermuda and the greens are a blend of Dominant and Crenshaw Bent grass.
